As part of the newly for Seattle Urban Wine Gang, we are opening up the tasting room tomorrow 1-5pm. Four wineries will be pouring so there will be plenty of wine to try. Come by and check out the operation.
We had our first public tasting this past Saturday, April 21st at Wine World. According to my estimations, 75 people that had never heard of this tiny new brand got their first taste. The results were surprising, the 2009 Tempranillo sold three times as many bottles as it’s closest competitor. Unfortunately, only 29 cases left of the Tempranillo. If this is anything like the 2008, blink a couple of times, and it will be sold out.
Well, it happened, after a lot of planning, waiting, and sweating the 09’s are labeled and ready for consumption. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Huge thanks to the folks over at Vinco for making this dream come true. Shoot me an email if you would like to schedule a tasting.
The yeasts are hard at work consuming albeit low levels of sugar, but enough to deliver the desired effects. Merlot got pressed Friday, Cabernet Sauvignon to be pressed on Wednesday. Crushed the Cab Franc and inoculating today, and crushing Tempranillo today. Jam packed busy winery week.
